Adult & Youth Bible Studies

Adult & Youth Bible Studies

As older children and youth transition from childhood to adulthood, we want to help them make that transition by incorporating them into our adult Bible study classes and corporate worship gatherings. Please note: children are also welcome to attend Adult Bible Studies with their parents or guardians.

Dangers, Toils, and Snares

What are the purposes of suffering and trials, and why does God allow them? Some suggest that suffering is pointless, and that we should either ignore suffering or rise above it. Some believe that perhaps suffering is payback for wrongs we have committed.

Scripture clearly addresses the presence and purposes of suffering. The Bible has many examples of faithful men and women who encountered various trials, yet many of them witnessed demonstrations of how God worked throughout history for His glory.

In this study, Alistair Begg addresses the difficulties and worries of life by turning our attention to the promises found in Scripture and how we can find the peace of God even amidst worldly trials, such as stress, loneliness, anxiety, and suffering.

This study incorporates extensive commentary, detailed observations on overriding themes, and probing questions to help us study and apply the Word of God as we face suffering and trials.

Communion with God

How can we have and enjoy having fellowship with God? Many Christians yearn for that and yet never really experience it because their view of God and their understanding of fellowship with him are misinformed. Puritan theologian and pastor John Owen has been a guide to generations of believers with his book Communion with God, and he will serve as our guide as we seek to understand God more fully and seek him more earnestly. It has been written that “nothing is more vital to spiritual well-being than a practical knowledge of what this doctrine means.”
